Mine and Emilys Rehearsal and Performance Evaluation

Our rehearsal period  I believe could and also should of been allot better, due to absences on 3 Fridays I was unable to rehearse during the time given to us in class as Emily was not in, I found this challenging I new the rehearsals were vital if we wanted our piece to work well and be successful, I developed the piece during  the 3 sessions I was alone and also in my own time, experimenting with different movements, as Emily had to sit down during our piece I found that rehearsing my pieces easy to do because I could rehearse in my own time.

The rehearsals where during lunch times, we where able to develop each section a bit more each time, adding to our piece bit by bit, our rehearsal times where shorter than wanted and expected, due to Emily having shifts at work, which we worked and balanced our time around.
Our first rehearsal I believe was our most successful as we went from having a blank canvas to being full of ideas which inspired me to go home and work on other sections and elements for our performance.

Overall I found this rehearsal process much more of a struggle as when working in pairs you both have be fully committed and able to rehearse during your own time, and as Emily and I live a fair distance from each other our only meeting place was at school and our only rehearsal time was in a lunch time, If given the option to do this again I would probably change my mind and go  for doing a solo performance as I found the rehearsal process a massive challenge and obstacle to get around, although I would of found the devising process working on a solo performance a massive challenge I would of had my own time to develop and be confident with what I had created,  This assignment was the most challenging out of the ones I have done previously and shows the massive change with year 12 and year 13 and the added commitment you need to have to your work and to your group, partner or company you are working with.
